Brief ride summary:
The first tour on the new bikes and loaded with luggage. For our
first tour we hoped for good weather, but what did we have? Rain, rain,
rain ...
But still the scenery with the high mountains around you was
impressive. This is the tour we always wanted to do again, just with
better weather the next time.

stayed in Vienna. For the most time we had tailwind. This was perfect
cycling weather.
For the first time we also ride along the
Danube Cycle Path, the most ridden bicycle path of Europe. Most of
it is a flat, separate paved cycling path away from traffic.

Brief ride summary:
We started with cold temperatures in Salzburg and went over our
biggest mountain pass, the Radstaedter Tauern with an elevation of
approx. 2,000 mtr / 6,500 ft. Along the
Mur Cycle Path to Bad Radkersburg and for a couple days up and down the rolling hills of the
Burgenland. A short stop in Vienna and heading back towards Passau.
Unfortunately heavy rain is coming in and after 3 days solid rain and
further rain in the forecast, we decided to take the train from Linz.
Again, cycling through/along mountains is just different. Once more,
we enjoyed this tour very much.

stopped every once a while. Sometimes in between we had a glass of vine.
After we did this a few times, we were wondering why in the afternoon it
was harder to move the legs :-)
